The Artist
Vidushi Radhini Rao is an accomplished Bharatanatyam artist, versatile choreographer, Carnatic vocalist, and passionate advocate of Indian arts and culture. For her, dance is not merely a passion but a way of life.
An exponent of the Pandanallur style, she has undergone more than two decades of rigorous training under Guru Dr. Kripa Phadke, presented her Rangapravesham in 2011, and continues to refine her artistry under the mentorship of Vidwan Sri Vijay Kumar of Chennai. Academically an engineer, she holds a Master's in Carnatic Vocal Music from the Music University, Mysore, and works as a Global Process Engineer at Scania AB.
She has performed on distinguished stages including IIT cultural festivals, the Dubai International Conference, Nada Laya Vinyasa in Göteborg, Namaste Stockholm, and the renowned Stockholm Sangeetha Festival. Her work has also been featured internationally in the film The Dance Battle, curated by the Dance Museum.
Radhini is married to Sri Arun Kumar Sathyanarayanan, a Mechanical Engineer by profession and a dedicated Carnatic vocalist. Coming from a family deeply rooted in music, Arun has been influenced by a rich artistic heritage from an early age — his mother, Radha Sathyanarayanan, is an accomplished Carnatic vocalist and performing artist. Together, Radhini and Arun share a profound commitment to preserving and promoting Indian classical music and dance, fostering a culturally enriching environment both within their family and through their artistic and educational initiatives.
